Monty (Dad) - I grew up in Nebraska and Iowa, graduating from Atlantic High School.
I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1976, and got my Masters from the University of Oklahoma. I served in the Air Force flying F-4 Phantoms for a while, and then working on the Space Shuttle program with NASA.
I left the active Air Force in 1984 to work for Martin Marietta on the Space Shuttle program. In 1986 I joined the Nebraska Air National Guard to fly F-4's until the aircraft was retired to the boneyard by the Air Force in 1994. I then became a liaison officer for the Academy until I retired in June 1998.
I worked for Federal Express, and flew the B747, B727, DC10, A300, MD11, and finished on the B777.
Finally, I like the Moody Blues, Monty Python, fast roller coasters, classic Science Fiction movies, Mother Goose and Grimm, Foxtrot, read Dave Barry and Calvin & Hobbes. Authors I like include Max Lucado, Larry Burkett, Tom Clancy, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Ken Follett.
